IO, Jakarta – It was first initiated in 2009, Art Jakarta in 2018 will be held again in August. Carrying the theme ‘Celebrating the 10th Anniversary’, dozens of programs have been prepared by Art Jakarta team to enliven the prestigious art fair in Indonesia. By presenting a new dimension of artwork in Indonesia and collaboration with local and international artists through art exhibitions, Art Jakarta is optimistic to raise the art of passion in Indonesia.
One of the programs of particular concern is Art Unlimited Art Jakarta 2018 which attracts young artists to showcase their artwork. Special presentations for young artists directed at the Bekraf area are sheltered by Enin Supriyanto, Asmudjo Irianto, Irawan Karseno, and Totot Indarto. Irawan Karseno who was present during a press conference said ‘Art Unlimited’ will go to the existing artist studios in the country.
“We will curate the right works to be included in ‘Art Unlimited’. We will develop again, not only textiles but also other mediums,” said the man who also works as Chairman of the Jakarta Arts Council.
Not only artist studios that are in Java alone, but Irawan promised to go to Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

For this 10th anniversary, Art Jakarta will be presenting new and special things compared to the previous year. Starting from Kemal Ezedine, Yani Mariani, Agus Suwage, Syagini Ratnawulan, Bagus Pandega, Hahan, Chinati Juhansyah, Eddie Sutanto, Heri Dono, and Tere.
