Jakarta, IO – As the 2024 political draws near, a number of pollsters have issued their results of the electability of presidential hopefuls. Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Central Java Governor Ganjar Prabowo, and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan are still the top contenders.
However, Cyrus Network founder Hasan Nasbi predicted that Anies will not get a presidential ticket. He even dared to bet one Toyota Alphard to prove his conviction.
“If [Anies] wants to be a presidential candidate, the mathematical calculations are already difficult. However, if he is willing to be a vice presidential candidate, the possibility is still open,” Hasan said, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Friday (24/6).
He explained a number of factors behind his prediction. One of them is the lack of support from President Joko Widodo. Hasan has not seen Jokowi’s signal of support for Anies. According to him, one of the moments that can be used as an indication is during the Formula E event. He said that Jokowi’s attendance at that time was only a courtesy because it was a world-class event.
