Separately, head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brig. Gen. Tatang Subarna stated on Sunday (28/8) that his agency has detained and investigated six soldiers for their alleged involvement in the murder.
“Mimika military police have been coordinating with the Mimika Police to investigate the involvement of Army personnel. Mimika Police is also investigating two civilians and conducting a search on another,” he said.

Brig. Gen. Tatang assured that when the results of the examination found that the soldiers are involved, the Indonesian Army would take legal action and impose strict sanctions in accordance with relevant regulations. (rr)
