Jakarta, IO – Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) met Central Java Governor after Friday prayer at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Friday (24/6).
Democratic Party division election deputy chair Kamhar Lakumani said the meeting took place by chance. He also stressed that there are no plans for further meetings between the two in the future.
“It’s just a coincidence, they went to the same mosque and met after Friday prayer,” Kamhar told CNN Indonesia.

This meeting was recorded in a video that went viral on social media. AHY wore a short black shirt while Ganjar a short white shirt with a black cap. They then had a brief casual chat.
The footage also showed former vice president Jusuf Kalla, who had just left the mosque. However, JK did not talk to AHY nor Ganjar. (rr)
