IO, Surabaya – Entering the “new normal” phase, patterns in carrying out daily routines are also changing. People must be able to adapt to the conditions and situations amid the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, more and more people care about and adopt a healthy lifestyle, starting from consuming healthy nutritionally balanced foods, exercising regularly every morning or evening, and what is equally important, maintaining a good resting pattern.
Sufficient quality sleep has been proven to expedite recovery from illness. This is as explained by Eric J. Olson, M.D, a sleep medicine specialist in his journal, who detailed how quality sleep is one of the ways we build our immune system, so that our bodies have better resistance when exposed to viruses.
Awareness of the need for quality sleep is also a reason for PT Duta Abadi Primantara to open the 32nd American Giant Mattress (AGM) boutique in the city of Surabaya. AGM is a modern retail store that focuses on selling quality mattresses and premium class, comfortable bedroom furnishings that make the lives of Indonesian consumers healthier. The concept of the modern AGM retail store was introduced in 2005 by PT DAP.
The opening of this 590 boutique was marked by Lie Chan Fen, the Sales General Manager of PT Duta Abadi Primantara Surabaya branch, cutting the ribbon on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. The AGM Surabaya boutique, located at Jl. Major General HR. Muhammad No.239, Surabaya carries a modern retail concept, offering end-to-end bedroom needs for consumers.
The global brands sold at the AGM Surabaya boutique have become top-of-mind and dominate the market in Indonesia. Starting from King Koil, Serta, Tempur, Florence to the Ogawa-massage chair. The entire area of the AGM Surabaya boutique and the products sold have gone through a process and standardization of health protocols in the new normal era.
Indra Setiawan, International Sales and Business Development Director of PT Duta Abadi Primantara, said that the opening of the Surabaya AGM boutique is one of PT DAP’s efforts to help the government campaign for a healthy lifestyle. “Apart from exercising and eating healthily, getting enough sleep is important. That is one of the reasons we opened the AGM Surabaya boutique in the middle of the new normal era. Hopefully, the newest AGM boutique can answer the needs of the people of Surabaya for quality sleep,” said Indra.
The Surabaya AGM boutique complements the 31 previous boutiques that are widespread across 23 major cities in Indonesia, namely, Medan, Padang, Batam, Pekanbaru, Siak, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Palembang, Lampung, Jakarta, Bekasi, Bandung, Cirebon, Tegal, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, Malang, Denpasar, Banjarmasin, Pontianak, Manado and Jayapura.
Timothy Purnomo, Head of Business Development at PT Duta Abadi Primantara, said that during the last three years (2017-2019), the performance of AGM boutiques has steadily grown at 13-15 percent. Therefore, business expansion in the form of an enlarged boutique network is expected to be able to make a positive contribution to AGM’s overall growth.
“PT DAP continues to expand the AGM boutique network, because we want to make it easier for people to get the best quality and price of bedroom needs. Besides, we want to continue to build a bedroom needs business, together with AGM partners in every major city in Indonesia. We will continue to add to our network of partnerships in coming years,” added Timothy.
