IO – The Indonesian Political Indicators (IPI) survey institute published its latest survey results of the 2024 presidential candidate electoral map. Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto remains at the top of the list.
IPI Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi said a number of simulations were conducted on several candidate names predicted to run in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. He concluded that Defense Minister Prabowo perpetually stands out in every simulation.
“We have never found the name of Mr. Prabowo below Ganjar or Anies,” said Burhanuddin, in the survey result release, Sunday (12/5/2021).
In the 10-name simulation, MoD Prabowo’s electability is 26.9%, followed by Ganjar Pranowo at 23.2%, Anies Baswedan 16.7%, Ridwan Kamil 6.2%, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno 5.2%, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) 4.6%, Khofifah Indarparawansa 3.1%, Erick Thohir 2.3%, Puan Maharani 1.1% and Airlangga Hartarto 0.5%.
Meanwhile, in the 8-name simulation, MoD Prabowo Subianto receives 27.6%, Ganjar Pranowo 23.7%, Anies Baswedan 17.2%, Ridwan Kamil 8.4%, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno 5.9%, AHY 4.8%, Erick Thohir 2.4% and Airlangga Hartarto 0.9%.
Finally, in the 3-name simulation, MoD Prabowo Subianto leads with 35.5%, Ganjar Pranowo 30.0% and Anies Baswedan 23.7%.
“Our regular surveys show a pattern that MoD Prabowo is leading in the first rank, even though not that significantly, particularly when compared to Ganjar Pranowo’s electability,” he said.
Indonesian Political Indicator conducted the face-to-face survey on Nov. 2-6, 2021. It used a multistage random sampling method with 2,020 respondents. The survey has an approximately 2.9% margin of error at a 95% confidence level. (Des)
