100 trade agreements with 14 countries concluded at Trade Expo Indonesia

Jakarta, IO – The first day of the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, saw 100 trade agreements signed simultaneously with buyers from 14 countries with a total transaction worth US$1.19 billion (Rp18.45 trillion).

“I believe the enthusiasm of trading partners from abroad on Indonesian business players reflects their deep trust in the momentum to ‘Strengthen Global Trade for Global Recovery’ which is the themes of this year’s TEI,” said Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan who witnessed the MOUs signing, Friday (21/10).

As a breakdown, Indonesian businesses signed 99 MOUs and one Letter of Intent (LOI) with buyers from Japan (US$411.25 million), Malaysia (US$175.89 million), Egypt (US$150 million), the Netherlands (US$120.11 million), Saudi Arabia (US$112.99 million), Italy (US$82.95 million), United Kingdom (US$62 million), United States (US$42 million), Australia (US$11.65 million), Brazil (US$10 million), Spain (US$10.1 million), Germany (US$3 million), Bangladesh (US$2 million), and the Philippines (US$43,000).
